Terms of Service

Effective October 2026

The service

BidNasty is an online auction platform for estate sales. Sellers list lots; bidders compete for them in timed auctions with soft closes. We provide the venue, the bidding engine, and payment processing — the sale contract for each lot is between the buyer and the seller.

Bids are binding

A bid is a commitment to buy at that price. If you win a lot, you owe the hammer price plus the buyer premium displayed on the sale. Repeatedly failing to pay for won lots gets an account suspended.

Fair play

No shill bidding, no bidding on your own lots through other accounts, no manipulating soft closes, no scraping or automating bids. Gamification rewards (XP, badges, coins, power-ups) have no cash value and may be adjusted to correct abuse.

Sellers

Sellers must have the right to sell what they list and describe lots accurately. Payouts are made after buyer payment clears. Misrepresented lots are eligible for the dispute process, and the resolution can include refunds charged back to the seller.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. The buyer premium for each sale is displayed before you bid.

Disputes

Problems with a transaction go through the on-platform dispute process first. We review the listing, messages, and payment record, and our resolution of platform matters is final.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. We are not a party to the sale contract and our liability for any claim is limited to the fees BidNasty earned on the transaction in question.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced on the platform. Continuing to use BidNasty after a change takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms.
